Lessons take place in my beautiful piano room in Lower Stondon, Henlow. Lessons vary according to level (if taking exams) but are typically half an hour for beginners, forty-five minutes for intermediate players and an hour for advanced players.
I teach children from around the age of five and adults of any age or ability. For those wishing to take exams, I am happy to teach Associated Board and Trinity College exam syllabuses up to Grade 8, as well as Associated Board theory.

I am happy to offer an initial trial lesson (chargeable) and am also happy to discuss individual needs.
My special approach for young students is based on sound principles of early learning achieved through playing. At any age, playing real pieces as soon as possible makes the experience of learning enjoyable and encourages the imagination.
For young players, lessons will be once per week, usually for half an hour. Adult lessons can be take more flexibly and will typically be for forty-five minutes.
Fees are charged monthly, in advance:
Lessons cancelled with less than one week’s notice are chargeable although I will try and replace or reschedule, if possible.
